Brand

What is a Brand?

A brand is a combination of tangible and intangible qualities and the expression of how a company, product or individual intends to be recognised.

It is often represented by a trademark for legal protection. In its intangible form, a brand is often described as being the perception of a business in the minds of its customers. As such it can provide enormous value to the company or individual, giving them a competitive edge over their competition. Managed correctly, a brand can be controlled to produce value for businesses and consumers.
